Tuck might also be out. But if neither of the supposed starting safties are gonna play that swings the pendulum back in the Giants favor IMO.

Both starting safeties being out for the Redskins turns this one into a Giants win prediction for me, still a close game though. Could definitely see the Skins pulling this one out, and I hope they do.

Re: Week 1: New York Giants @ Washington Redskins

The way I look at it, this game (and this season) really comes down to Eli Manning and Hakeem Nicks. The defense goes from (at least talent wise) a top 5 defense to a middle of the road defense with all of the injuries. However, if Eli and Nicks can fix the stupid mistakes they would occasionally make last year (Eli's mind-numbing decisions once or twice a game, Nicks running the wrong route) then the Giants have an explosive offense which can more than make up for the defense's shortcomings.

There wasn't a single game I watched all of last season where I thought the fate of the game wasn't in the Giants' hands, and I expect that to continue here. If Eli and the offense get on a roll, the Redskins simply can't compete.

Re: Week 1: New York Giants @ Washington Redskins

Considering the Redskins played so many close games last year, I don't think they were as bad as their record indicated. They have plugged some holes, made some nice moves this off-season, and the offensive line looked better than any Skins line the past 5 years(which isn't saying much). I could see the Skins actually winning this one. As long as the Skins don't play 7 yards off of the Giants WR's all game long allowing underneath stuff to beat the all game like last year, then there is a chance.

I picked the Giants here, but I don't feel too good about it. I have a feeling the Redskins D is gonna be off the charts.

FedEx just looks so damn ugly with those two wide *** holes(aka the "supposed" Party Decks)in the upper levels.
