Week 1: Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers

Pete Carrol vs Jim Harbaugh.

I have no idea who wins this one.

I'm hoping the 49ers sign Garrard. I think they could compete for the division. But I'm sure they're holding out for Luck.

I doubt that very seriously. If it was late in the season and the 49ers had 2 wins, maybe... but to intentionally fail this year to get a chance to land Luck, I don't buy it.

Well then, as said, I think Garrard instantly make them a contender for that division.

He couldn't be any worse.

Can't beat the Seahawks with Tavris Jackson starting might as well throw the season. 49ers 27-17.

Seahawks O-line shows it's a work in progress, Tarvaris Jackson spends the whole day scrambling for his life, Niners get revenge for week one last year...

SF - 20
SEA - 17

Re: Week 1: Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers

Niners 21, Seahawks 13.

It's going to be a rough year in Seattle, I'm afraid.

Young, inexperienced offensive line... Below average QB's...

Scoring points will be a challenge. Zach Miller with the Seahawks' lone TD on a 32-yard pass from T-Jack.

On a side note... Who thinks Carroll is drooling over the prospect of getting Luck or Barkley? Or Jones? Inserting T-Jack as the starter and dousing the flames on any QB competition talk has been fishy to me. He named Jackson the starter from day one. Whitehurst outplayed him in the preseason, though it was against camp fodder, but it has a lot of Seattle fans scratching their heads.

Suck for Luck? I won't complain.
