Being a Vikings fan, I'm thinking 4-12 is in order. I just hope Donovan McNabb survives the season behind our awful O-line.

As for those 4 wins, this will not be one of them.

I have a bad feeling about this game. This is the exact type of game the Chargers lay an egg in.

Re: Week 1: Minnesota Vikings @ San Diego Chargers

As a Charger fan football season for September/October just sucks point blank period. I wanna believe this team can eventually change it's fortunes early but, I just don't believe it there has been to many seasons lost because of slow starts. If it's not injury bringing you down it's bad turnover football and if it's not that it's something else.

They only lost two games by double digit points last year with everything going on. You would think they would be able to get it together this year. Until proven otherwise I got the Vikes winning a close game even though I have every reason to pick the Chargers because, they look better on paper.

I don't have high expectations for this season as Vikings' fan. Too many questions on the O-Line and in the secondary; and if the O-Line is bad then we're going to see a lot of BAD Donovan McNabb, very similar to what we saw last season with Washington. This team will be lucky to sniff 8 wins, IMO.

I think the Chargers cover the spread and them some on Sunday. Although it is San Diego, and in the past they've laid quite a few turds early on in the season, so maybe Minnesota gets lucky.

Chargers' early starts have been awful for a while now, but they still do good against below average teams like Minnesota. I got San Diego 31-10, although it is a very biased opinion to be fair. I think AP will get off to a good start, but San Diego will start to pull away and McNabb won't be able to get them back in the game.

Me neither, unfortunately. I'm expecting Rivers to torch our secondary.

Re: Week 1: Minnesota Vikings @ San Diego Chargers

It looks on paper like the Chargers should win a blowout like 38-10, but with their notoriously slow starts compiled with a shortened off season, I think they Vikings could win this.

They pound the ball, and Peterson is fresh and will likely have a big day. Like someone said earlier, last time they played he set the single game rushing record.

I think it really comes down to the O-Line being able to protect McNabb, and Berrian and Jenkins have to get in the mix somehow.

I wouldn't put money on it, but I'm picking Minnesota.

That makes no sense. It's already been unanimously agreed upon that the shortened offseason favored veteran teams with little to no turnover. The Chargers don't have a single new starter on offense while this is McNabb's first year with the Vikings.

Not that I don't think the Vikings can't win, just that your logic is flawed.
