I don't agree but there's an argument for that. But when half the league is 1-0, there's no way I can see any 0-1 team being ranked 2nd overall.
It's the second week.

Until teams have completed a greater percentage of the season, it's all just guess work. If he's ranking a 1-6 Saints team #2, then it's an issue.

That would be based off of the last couple of years with mainly the same group of players. The Texans are a good team but they still have to prove they belong in the top five and the same goes with the Lions.

The Pats are still the Pats and I think they have an amazing program, but they have yet to face a high powered offense this year and come out successful.

Overall I'm not a huge fan of some of PFT's antics but their power rankings for the most part make a lot more sense than any of the garbage ESPN puts out.

Both of you guys are missing my point and no one has even touched on it when I mentioned it. There is NO explanation for any 0-1 team being ranked 2nd in the league... period. You can say this team shouldn't be ranked ahead of them or that team... ok. I even already said I've got no problem if someone put them in the top 5. But there is no one that will convince me that an 0-1 team should be considered better than 15 teams that won their games. If we actually put names to the teams and who they played it, score, etc. it makes even less sense. No rankings should've had the Saints at #2 last week... period.

To ABR173, sorry but winning the SB 2 years ago means absolutely nothing for this season. It's a good story for the game but that's about it.
