Week 4: Atlanta Falcons (1-2) @ Seattle Seahawks (1-2)

For the second year in a row the Falcons travel to Seattle to play the Seahawks. They won last year's contest pretty easily, 34-18.

This year both teams are sitting at 1-2, and while it's still early in the season, this could be a key game for either squad when it's all said and done. For Seattle it would be a huge boost to beat the favored Falcons, and for Atlanta it would be an uphill battle trying to chase New Orleans and Tampa Bay after starting 1-3.

QB Matt Ryan has already been sacked 13 times this year, after being sacked only 23 times all of last year. However, Seattle has a defense that has trouble getting after the QB, totaling just 5 sacks so far in 2011.

I think Atlanta wins somewhat easily, 24-17.

Over/under on when Seahawks fans start chanting for Charlie Whitehurst? At the 6 minute mark of the 2nd quarter.

Atl lose this one they can say goodbye to the playoffs week 4. Honestly I think they lose. I think Seahawks defense match well with them.

Seahawks are pretty good against the run, with Mebane and Bryant up front, and then Hawthorne and Hill making tackles, with Earl Thomas cleaning up anything that's left. If they can get pressure on Ryan they will have a chance. But I think the trio of Roddy White, Julio Jones, and Tony Gonzales will prove to be too much.

Roddy White questionable, and Seahawks SS Kam Chancellor is doubtful.

And I'll take the under on the chants for Charlie Whitehurst. I think that the first drive the Seahawks don't score you'll start to hear it, so probably first quarter.

Tricky game to call because Seattle is always a tough place to play. Further clouding things is the fact that Seattle's defense is surprisingly physical, especially up front, and the Falcons have been pretty inconsistent lately -- with the offensive line stinking the joint out. For some reason, they didn't lean more on the running game in Tampa, and it definitely cost them the win.

This is almost a must-win for the Falcons. 3 losses in the NFC West doesn't hurt Seattle nearly as much as it does Atlanta, then take into account that Atlanta has to face Green Bay next week. 4 looses in their first 5 games could all, but end Atlanta's post season hopes. Don't know how that sense of desperation is going to play into the Falcons' temperament. They're pretty solid under Smith in that department, but there's no doubt they understand how important a win is here.

Seahawks defense is going to have to step it up in the 2nd half.

Refs missed an obvious holding call.
