To clarify, obviously there are football fans that like Metal.

But metal is one of those polarizing genres (rap, metal, country) to me that people either love or hate. Pop music, by definition, is popular. It seems like the genre that people can feel "Meh" about.

It has the biggest fanbase here, and they play it safe. Not that I necessarily agree that older, safer musicians are the best way to go.

53 is old?

Wait till you get to that age and see if you say you are old.

Madanna isn't the best singer in the world, but the lady knows how to dance and I'm sure she can still hoof it.

I can't wait till she sings Like a Virgin, I'll remember Weird Al's Like a Surgeon.

I'm a loooooong way from 53 and I say I'm old now, lol.

I'm having nightmares already picturing a 50+ woman who put Dennis Rodman to shame singing "Like a Virgin".

I know the super bowl is watched all over the world but the US is still the main targeted viewing audience and kings of leon, foo fighters are both one hit wonders in the US

Putting green day on a world stage is just asking for touble

Adele would be the best bet as shes the most current.

Adele's more suited for the National Anthem, isn't she?

Here's an even better idea:

Ditch the Musical Act altogether. Why do you even need them anyway?

No Bands, No Rappers, No Hippies....just nothing.

Or is that asking Goodell for too much?
