I can understand the outrage, but again its just more people freaking out about the fact that Hitler was even brought up. In the way that Hank Williams said it according to the quote (never saw the actual interview) he used the analogy of two enemies coming together, in Barack Obama golfing with John Bohner (sp?) to the Hitler analogy.
I understand, Hitler is a no-go, and bringing him up turns heads, and it was a bad analogy to make but I think ESPN is really just getting all up in arms over nothing.
1) He did not actually say Barack Obama is acting like Hitler, he was stating it was like two enemies hanging out.
2) Just for playing a song that had been iconic with Monday Night Football for years, people would not assume that ESPN would support the Nazi's or anything related to the holocaust.
Personally I think it's ridiculous that our society now a days gets so up in arms of public perception that we have to break from some tradition and norms to try and please people that might've not been offended at all.
What is everyone's thoughts on this?
