Brandon Lloyd Being Shopped?

I just got an email from the Denver Post that this rumor is true.

Jaguars need to jump all over this. Not let the tacks get him, and then have to deal with him and Britt for the future.

Plus he could teach whatever WR they pick up next year. And Thomas could go back to the slot with Hill on the other side.

If Lloyd is traded, don't expect Demaryius Thomas to fill in. He can barely stay on the field. Royal can't seem to catch the ball, this year. It'll be Matthew Willis and Decker that become the two threats. Willis is a fine wide receiver who just needs an opportunity to shine.

Now that I've read that Lloyd is a free agent this year and contract talks aren't materializing, the trade makes sense. Really, if you're going to trade Lloyd, trade Orton too.

I don't know how he fits in Carolina. Would Lloyd be interested in taking a back seat to Steve for at least a couple of years? He seems like a nice enough guy from his interviews, but he's the #1 guy in Denver and he might not want to give that up.

He's easily worth a 2nd round pick though.
