Re: Week 7: St. Louis Rams (0-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (2-3)

I thought Demarco Murry looked like a solid pick when Dallas drafted him. But right away on TV, Mel Kiper was saying bad things about him. With all his records at that school he went to, It only makes sense that I thought he had a good shot at being pretty good. I never would have guessed he would be that good in a game though.

On to the game. We beat the rams. Yay. As a Cowboy fan I expect to kill the Rams everytime we play. Ya, ya, there defense is one of the worst. Ok, I get that. But still, The O Line and Demarco went over the top. The Defense played mean.

This is one week of great football. Next week we could put up 9 points. I wont believe any hype until I see mean focused football for weeks in a row.

I don't think I've seen a sentence more accurately sum up my feelings about a game.

I'm fine with waiting to crown him, but if this game taught us one thing its that Choice should not be taking anymore carries away from Murray and Tanner

Another sidenote:

Dan Bailey making kicks. Love it. I hope I didn't jinx him, I still find myself cringing when we attempt a FG, but I am pretty sure he hasn't missed one in a long time.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not anointing Murray just yet, but I will say that there was a reason for drafting the guy and he showed glimpses of it Sunday - yes, against the lowly Rams. On top of that, Phillip Tanner has continued to play well since preseason and at this point, he seems like a good option as the #3. After last week's game (NE), I was all but ready to throw in the towel on Choice after being such a staunch backer since his GTech days, but the guy seems to always be a liability every time he's on the field with the constant fumbles, bad reads on blocks, etc. Its a shame we didn't trade him and get a decent late round pick out of the guy.

With that said, this is a game the Cowboys should have won and handedly. I'm happy this one didn't get sloppy or the Cowboys didn't let them stick around for too long.

I had DeMarco Murray in my 20 team fantasy league but dropped him

Knock on wood, but Bailey hasn't missed a kick since Week 2.
