An average person makes maybe 1 to 1.5 mil in their lifetime, (with the later being a bit on the higher end)

Am I supposed to be feeling sympathy for someone that makes 50X that and blows through it in a tenth of the time?

I know the guy is very religious. I wonder if he was tithing 10% to the church?

No (not sure anyone here does)... don't really see why anyone should hate him either though.

Now there is a huge difference between low-risk investment and high-risk investment. I think we know which one happened here.

Pretty sure he has an accounting degree from Notre Dame. So yes I believe he has.

Again guys this is nothing new and he hasn't lost all his money. He filed for Chapter 11 because he had too many liabilities and couldn't afford to continue to pay for all of them after his partners stopped paying for years. He was basically paying for everything himself. The guy still has millions in assets, but couldn't continue at the pace. He filed so he could come up with a plan to pay back all the creditors.
