Yes the Lions are coming off a bye-week, but that won't teach them how to run the ball with Maurice Morris, especially @ Chicago. If the Lions win, it'll be because Calvin has his best game of the year

Calvin could be mediocre (although mediocre for him is 100 yards and a TD) and we still win if Stafford has a huge day throwing to our other weapons (this offense is more than Culpepper to Moss). The offense will be fine and the special teams will be too if they stay away from Hester.

Now for the defense. If we get the same kind of pressure as MNF, we will win. Forte may break off a big run, but other than a big run or two he will be contained; we have a great 3rd/4th down run defense. Against the pass, we get pressure on most teams and we lead the league in turnover differential.

Penalties are huge; I doubt Chicago will have as many as on MNF. We also need to cut down on our penalties. I wonder if Leonard Davis will replace Stephen Peterman?

All in all, I expect this to be a close game. If we win, we'll have a 2.5 game lead on the Bears putting us at 7-2 and in great shape to make the playoffs. If we lose, we're tied at 6-3. Schwartz has had 2 weeks to gameplan so I'm expecting us to go out, play well and beat the Bears.

I think Detroit will win this game by 10. I want the lions to win anyway.

This is definitely one of the more interesting games this weekend with the Bears in a groove and the Lions trying to get out of a rough patch. I think the Lions can win as long as we get pressure on Cutler though, Philly showed that allowing him time in the pocket is not an option.

Could you clarify this? We laid a beating on the Broncos and went into the bye week. I don't see how either of those are a rough patch. I'd say we're out of our rough patch and moving forward.
