Rodgers will probably cool off a little statistically in the second half of this season because he'll be playing in some cold weather games. I agree with the people who said Marino 1984 was the best complete season for a qb, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone play better than Rodgers does in dome games.

'95-'96 Favre had as good run, if not better than '10-'11 Rodgers is currently having.

Could make a case that he had probably the greatest year by an NFL QB ever, even better than Marino had back in 84.

If Rodgers does keep this up he will blow away Favre's 95-96 season. I love Favre, but 63% complete, 7.74 per attempt, 38 TDs, 4413 yards, and 13 picks won't stand up to Rodgers if this continues.

Projection for Rodgers:

5100 yards
49.7 TD's (might as well say 50)
9.73 yards per attempt
5.3 Int (so 5)
72.9 completion percentage

Rodgers is having a great season, but I think Brady's 2007 campaign was the best regular season performance I have ever seen. I was born in 1984, so I have no idea what Marino did. All I can do is go by the stats, which were pretty good.

EDIT: If Rodgers finishes with those numbers above, I will give it to him on completion percentage alone.

Would have been interesting to see what Marino could have done with all the rules to boost the offense that we have today.

Same with Jerry Rice in his record setting season.

Nah. AR is doing his thing, no doubt. But Check Brady's stats in 2007 with the same number of games played. At this point in 07 Brady had 32 td's, plus he played against stiffer comp. Even this year AR has not really played against any top defenses. It is still Brady's world. AR can take his place in a few years.

I'm going to have to disagree with you here. Aaron Rodgers makes throws I've never seen Brady make. And to only show his TD stats is a little short-sighted. 4 more Tds over 9 games isn't that big of a difference. The season Rodgers is putting up is right on par with '07 Brady. And I believe that Rodgers is a more complete quarterback than Brady is at this point. Before the season I had Brady, Manning, Rodgers in that order. Rodgers has surpassed both of them - Brady in ability and Manning by default because we don't know what he's going to be when he comes back. And BTW, lost in all this is how good of a year Brees is putting up. That's nothing to sneeze at either.

It's NovaStar.

Rodgers could be averaging 15 yards per attempt and 5 TDs a game against a lineup of the 1970s Steelers, 1985 Chicago, 2000 Baltimore, and 2002 Tampa, and he'd still take Brady over him.
