Looks like the Texans are putting all of their eggs in the Leinart basket. They just picked up Kellen Clemens to back him up. I think the Bears put in a claim for Orton.

Why would the Bears put a waiver claim on him when they are so low on the list? They'll wait to see if he clears and becomes a free agent. Then they'll sign him to a smaller contract. The Bears are cheap.

Good move by KC. They are not out of it in the AFC West by a long shot, and Orton > Palko, Stanzi. Only problem is they really cant afford to lose another game, waiting for him to assimilate into their offense.
