Roman Harper, Sack Master?

So I was just browsing the NFL sack leaders list and I noticed that Roman Harper has 7.5 on the season!

I live in Nashville and never watch Saints games. How in the world is he getting all those sacks? That's pretty darn amazing. I remember watching Rod Woodson in his blitzing days, and he was pretty impressive, but his best was 6 for a season. Leroy Butler's was 6.5. Is this guy just amazing as a rusher, or is this some scheme thing?

I just find this case very interesting for its oddity.

GW uses him pretty well I think, he's not great in pass coverage although he's not bad 1v1 against TEs just everything else such as zone not really so he plays a lot in the box coming off the edge and up the middle off blitzes. He's pretty decent for a SS at timing his blitzes. He's basically an OLB playing SS I always believed just not as big obviously

He sucks in coverage but is solid against the run etc so the defensive cordinator is just putting him in a position to be successful instead of a liability.

It's easy to rack up sacks when your offense is outscoring teams by 20+. More pass opportunities, more chances to pass rush, more exotic blitzes, more sacks.

Using Pro Football Focus, Harper has blitzed 120 times this year. That's a ton for a safety. He's just had more opportunities than most, and Williams loves to send 5-6 rushers.
