Hmm that's kind of surprising, but Sproles has had some nice quality runs this season along with Pierre(Ingram was starting to look good imo but then got hurt). I may be thinking more back to the '09 season then.

I agree 100% with what wwharton is saying, if you look at a typical Saints passing play that may result in a dumpoff to say Sproles or someone you'll see Brees is going through all his reads before dumping it off.

They had a great running game in 09 too. That was actually a big reason they did so well through the playoffs. Honestly, a healthy Ingram and Thomas not getting knocked out cold early in the 9ers game this year and it probably would've played a big role in them making another trip to the conference finals. Their running game has been underrated for years, it's just not in the gameplan like the traditional running teams.
