I'm guessing you don't want to because there are other factors that would be effected by that, if only inconvenience. I understand all that, but the option is there so from the NFL's perspective, they aren't hurting fans. They feel they have a product that's worth the high premium they're asking from cable companies, and as long as there are options out there paying it that are available to the masses, they're right.
I wish I could get DirecTV, but they can't get a clear signal in my current living situation. Unlike snepp, however, my cable provider offers NFL Network on a sports tier that is an affordable option for me, and is packaged with other sports channels that I want (Fox Soccer and ESPNU mainly).

That's legit and the same is probably true for the Dish Network... I don't know about Fios. Either way, unfortunately you're in the minority when they're crunching numbers. And I'm not getting on Snepp (sorry Snepp if that's how you took it), I was just explaining how the big businesses are looking at things. I don't think the NFL cares about their fans as much as they care about their fans' money, but in this case I think they're handling the situation exactly how they should. They have a high demand product so the heat is on the cable companies to accept it's worth what the NFL is demanding. For some, the only way to show them that is by having people drop their services if they don't get the Network.

NFL Net isn't even in a sports tier on DirecTV or Dish.

I believe it's in DirecTV's basic package and I know it's in Dish Network's America's Top 200 package (the next one up after Top 100).

We have Dish and we get NFL, NHL, MLB, and NBA TV all without having any special sports packages.

I'll repeat myself.

The cable company that I currently use IS MY LONE OPTION. I do not have access to any other options. I cannot switch to Direct TV. There are no alternatives available.

You've been making a pretty big deal out of the pretty small thought that having a streaming option would be a nice thing.

Actually it's not too late, you just want to get your panties in a wad so more power to you... I've got the NFL Network so this really isn't all that important to me. You can continue to dig in to me as much as you want, lol. There is no soap box... like I've said twice now, my point is that the NFL is handling it properly considering the circumstances. And while I understand how that sucks for you, it makes sense from their perspective.

So continue to jump on the NFL, your cable company... me if that somehow makes you feel better. But trust, I'm not the one making a big deal out of this... just discussing a topic on a discussion board.
