The further away from the ball you line up, the less your wonderlic matters IMO. If my QB, C, MLB scored a 4 I would be worried. Playing corner. You have a few assignments. Follow this guy all over the place, or fall back to this landmark, or blitz. Not to complex.

That said, whoever leaked this needs to be fired, point blank.

There are many players dumb as a box of rocks who understand how the game works just as well as smart guys. If he can play he can play.

A runningback that I went to school with was one of the best football players I've ever seen. He could do it all on the field and even broke Alabama's TD records. But the Guy just didn't have it in the classroom.
I wont go as far as to say, it doesn't matter at all, but for any position other than QB it matters very little.

Hell, this is more of a knock against LSU than Claiborne, in my opinion

from the wonderlic wiki page

"Wonderlic, Inc. claims a score of at least 10 points suggests a person is literate"

Then I guess we won't be seeing him reading to Kindergartners any time soon.

No, but seriously, I'm with the consensus here. He's not getting paid to read and write books, he's getting paid to do what he did well in college and that was play football.

Also, took the little practice test, got a 33. I miscounted on one of the questions and when I was done and seen the answer, I was kicking myself. "One number, ONE NUMBER!"

With a score of 4 hes just as likely to try and tackle his own team as he is the opponent. There are also off-field implications, how well do you think someone who struggles to read "go dog go" would do with millions of dollars.

Im just kidding (mostly), but im glad hes not going to be on the board when the cowboys pick

Meh maybe, but given his major I would say he's just naturally not smart. Cause then they have guys like Eric Reid, etc that are scholar athletes.

Yeah I know right who would want a great pure cover corner with some of the softest hands i've seen in recent memory and runs around a 4.4. The only off the field thing that'd effect me wanting a guy is if he's going to be in trouble with the law 24/7

Im not understanding what his major has to do with anything.
