Patriots practices are drawing some incredible crowds the first two days:

Why would you remove your starter who has "led" you to 2 AFC championships. They've also talked about using him a lot in the redzone.

It may not be your typical QB controversy, but something ain't right.

We'll see how many snaps he actually gets. And If I had Tebow I'd use him at goaline a lot as well. If hes throwing on the goaline well... damn.

Jermichael Finley apparently suffered a "very slight, mild concussion"...according to his wife, yesterday.

WR Tiquan(?) Underwood continues to be one of the more impressive WR's along w/ VJax. That'll help w/ Benn sitting out w/ another injury.

And yeah, I agree ESPN's coverage is pretty awful. This whole week at Denver is kinda annoying. I'll give them some room in the Jets in that its a QB controversy, but, there is one going on in Miami too. Not to mention their "franchise QB" isn't in camp.
Easy now as bad as ESPN it's still good for me to get to see my Broncos.

But on a serious note I am kind of shocked that they aren't showing more Redskins Training Camp even locally here on Maryland. Seems like the Olympics have the spotlight on local news for now.

The media hasn't talked about taking away crucial red zone reps from their "starting QB" to run packages for the back-up. It is far from media driven.

Nope its made up.

They traded for a QB with a unique skillset. He'll be the backup, he'll run the wildcat, and he'll play special teams. They've been pretty consistent about what his role will be. Barring injury there is absolutely no chance Tebow is starting week 1.

I don't think anyone expects that Tebow starts week one. Where this gets interesting is if Sanchez plays like he did last year and you get to week 3 or 4 and the offense scuffles. Do the Tebow signs/chants come out? Ask Kyle Orton how that worked out for him.

On another note, it was funny to read about the first practice yesterday. They say Sanchez outplayed Tebow (which I am sure he did), but when then they proceed to mention that Tebow actually completed more of his passes than Sanchez. It's going to be a long training camp for the Jets...

Re: 2012 Training Camp/Preseason Thread

First full pad practice for the Ravens at 2:30 today. The past three days the following names have stood out:

1) Sergio Kindle - has worked with the first team defense on some snaps. Appears to have quickness back, learned the playbook so he's not guessing. Had four and a half sacks yesterday. Need to see him in pads today though.

2) 2nd year WR's LaQuan Williams, Tandon Doss have looked sharpe.

3) Joe Flacco, looks in command, sharp and accurate.

Undrafted players making noise, WR Deonte Thompson out of Florida and Linebacker Nigel Carr.

Bad news thus far is Ngata has a hammy issue so they will hold him out.
