NFL | Who has the better rookie season at QB?

Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, Russell Wilson or Ryan Tannehill?

Poll your nomination and post your reasoning.

p.s. Apologies Cleveland fans, forgot all about Weeden. If a moderator can edit the polling options as well the poll/thread title (add 'better') it would be appreciated.

RG3 has a lot of weapons, but does have a poor O line. I think he and Luck will have the pretty equal seasons

This will be close. I think RGIII may have the edge in a better situation than my boy Andrew Luck. Both will leave this class for dead short and long term.

Call me skeptical but I don't think lightning will strike twice for Indy in getting a true franchise QB for the 2nd straight time so i'm going with RGIII long term but I think Russell Wilson has a shot at being the Ken O'Brien of this QB class in that he has a solid if not unspectacular career and goes to the playoffs a few times.

I know I know, i'm on the damn bandwagon with this kid but that's my feeling.

Re: NFL | Who has the better rookie season at QB?

Depends on what "better" means. Last year all the hype was around Newton (and rightfully so) while Dalton lead a team in a tougher division to the playoffs with his prime target also being a rookie.

That didn't cause too much conversation bc of the insane numbers Newton put up but if we assume that's not going to happen again, which is the better way to look at it?

I think RG3 will play very well and lead the Skins to a good record (probably 2nd to Seattle of these guys but the two teams will be close). But I think Luck will have the best stats bc his team will be closer to last year's Panthers with a shaky D, more opportunity to air it out, and less to lose if there's a turnover here or there.

Wilson's the wild card (no offense but I don't think the other two will be in the discussion at all) if only bc he's the one with the best shot at the playoffs AND the biggest competition behind him. He could easily lose his job, even if it's to injury. That's just not happening with RG3 or Luck.

Joe Montana took Andrew Luck over RGIII for having the better career long term of First Take this morning. Not a bad endorsement.

Honestly, I like all of these guys coming out. I'm pretty sure Luck and RG3 are going to be pretty good. I think they'll both put up good numbers and also show off their greenness by having a good amount of INT's, too. But their teams will be excited to see them progress with their respective teams.

Wilson and Tannehill are where it could go either way. I thought Wilson was a steal, but I just have this feeling that Flynn will be leading Seattle by season's end whether that's due to injury, performance, etc.

So I'm going to go with Tannehill to be this year's Dalton. Quietly put together a good campaign, and keep the Dolphins around .500. Tannehill will have the most balanced season. Just solid overall play.
