The first pass he got lucky it wasn't picked. He didn't give Rice. A chance to fight for the ball. The second he threw it too late an the cb got back in time to knock it out of Doug's hands. The last one Braylon didn't close his hands on it.

Re: Week 1: Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals

Arizona's strategy against Wilson was to stack the line with 6-7 players almost every play and blitz, which made sense seeing as Wilson is rookie making his first NFL start, under 6 feet tall (all those bodies on the line surely made it difficult for Wilson to find passing lanes), and OCs Darrell Bevell refusal to call any screens or spread the field to try and slow the Cards rush. Although the oline wasn't stellar in pass protection, they were under fire almost every passing play as the Cards just pinned their ears back and brought the rush. Hopefully Bevell and Wilson adjust quick because I suspect this will be the default defensive game plan against the Seahawks until further notice: stack the line, blitz 5+ players, repeat.

On the flip side, while the Seahawks front 7 did a great job to stuff Arizona's running game they did not get near enough pressure on Skelton, especially in the first half when the Cards did most of their offensive damage.
