This isn't about Brady, but the slide protects the quarterback too much. You can abuse that way too easily. That guy had no chance of stopping his fall onto Brady after he acted to slide.

They aren't allowed to throw them towards a player like that anymore after that debacle with the Browns lineman who got it in the eye and subsequently stopped playing a few years back.
