I agree, and that was exactly how I felt on the Packers TD drive when Kam Chancellor was flagged for pass interference on a 3rd and 2. Without that awful call, it’s a punt and it’s Seahawks ball, 7-6, with about 6 minute left. Could the Seahawks have still lost? Yes, definitely. However, to say the refs cost the Packers the game by giving the Seahawks 7, while ignoring the fact they also gave the Packers 6, is a head scratcher.

The refs screwed over both teams last night. But no one will remember that Kam Chancellor got called for PI on a play where he only touched the ball, and not the receiver, which then led to a Green Bay Touchdown. Bottom line is the game was a gong show and refs were terrible. It's really an embarrassment for the NFL.

Well, would you rather this happen in week 3 or the AFC/NFC championship game?

Yeah, really the Packers put themselves in a position to win if the D could force a rookie QB to execute a game winning drive... Wilson had a 12 yard run and that's about it.

He threw a pick that was overturned by a questionable roughing call. Then Rice practically raped Sheilds who gets called for the PI for another 38 yards. And then the last play.

To say the Packers should've done more to not be in that position is crazy because they did exactly what they should have and needed to.

Correct call on the Shields play would have been offsetting PI, and actually illegal contact 10+ yards prior.

This isn't true. Go look at the play again. Sheild's head was turned and while he was positioning for the ball he didn't even put a single finger on Rice. It should've either been offensive PI or a no call.

Doesn't mean these guys are being paid off though, they're just over their heads.

As many bad calls and this and that lets be honest the league isn't going to move any faster to get the ref lockout over with unless the league sees a drop in either ratings, attendance, sales or any of that as long as we keep going or watching the games and buying merch the league will take its time with the ref lockout

What makes you think it won't happen int he championship game? That's why it's a bad comparison. Refs are human and will make mistakes. In any given week there is at least one mistake that people will talk about, most likely in a close game.

This is week 3 and there are multiple absurd miscues in almost every game of all 3 weeks. There are big issues being brought up by fans of teams that won and in games that weren't even close. Games are approaching 5 hours and players are fighting after every snap. Guys are getting hit in the head with helmets or blindsided while running routes and no flags are being thrown. Spots are off by 27 yards.

That's a very short highlight real and we just completed week 3! Rewatch all of the horrible misteps in the Ravens/Pats and Packers/Seahawks games alone... and both of those match ups could very well end up being the championship games. Can you imagine if they actually were? How about if the Pats or Packers don't make the playoffs and the what ifs point to these two games? Worse part about that one is if either of those teams won the Ravens and Seahawks would have just as much to be upset about.

You're ignoring Shields' left hand full of jersey pulling Rice down. He had a hand full of jersey for the last 10 yards of that play while running with him. They replayed it a few times while the announcers were incredulous and also ignored this. It was almost like the producers were trying to get them to realize it by showing it as many times as they did.

Not denying Rice's OPI, but I think the ref was zeroed in on the fist full of jersey and is why it was called the way it was.

Re: The NFL absolutely MUST pay the real refs NOW

Let's not put this all on the replacement refs people .

Don't and I mean DONT overlook the fact that the REAL instant reply team was in the game and they even failed on telling the head ref the correct call .
