I don't know. We never jumped like the ball had been snapped or anything. We just shifted our line to the side.

Apparently the LB shouted a signal to create a shift to make the line move in order to draw NO to jump.

It's...not called often because the ref has to be able to clearly hear the signal. But I guess he did.

How do defensive lines know to shift to the side on any other play? It's not like shifting to the side is a rare thing. I honestly don't know. Just seems like bull**** to me.

There's a difference between a shift and a attempt to draw a false start. Usually shifts are not that quick/violent/timed


I'm not saying the call makes 100% sense, but I see where they get it from.

Welp either way both sides got screwed by the refs before that card comes out.
