I'd like to see Detroit win this but I'm quite sure you guys are on the right track.

Bears possibly by 3 or 4 scores.

Like I said before, if the Lions play undisciplined football and turn the ball over, the Bears can put up points and get to the scoreline everyone is predicting here. Stafford is going to have be a whole lot more careful about where he's throwing the ball than he was early against the Eagles and against this defense last year at Soldier. The running game of the Lions doesn't worry me in the least.

However, their d-line could just as easily get constant pressure on Cutler and really limit the Bears offense. If that happens and the Bears happen to fall behind early, Jay could go into full DGAF mode. That never ends well.

I think the Bears will win, but it'll be closer than everyone is predicting.

The only way it will be close is if the Lions employ the same shock tactics the Packers use to mask an average secondary. It works well against quarterbacks like Cutler who get frustrated easily. Early heavy blitzes that force bad passes, QB hits/sacks work great to stutter this offense, the Bears offense always goes off if A) Cutler gets in a rhythm early or B) Forte/Bush can establish the ground game [A usually results in more scoring where-as the later is better for ball control than scoring]

Calvin Johnson should get his yardage, receivers like him burn the cover 2 since he can break off big yards off the catch and he can 'post up' and catch passes in single coverage. Aside from him though, I don't see much to worry about from Detroit. They are playing to where they were built to, no compliment to CJ and above average quarterback with no ground game.

I want to say it's a safe win but Detroit in recent years has either given us fits or completely rolled over.

Re: Week 7 MNF: Detroit Lions (2-3) @ Chicago Bears (4-1)

Two of our corners tonight have just signed to the team in the last 5 days. One of them signed today (Justin Miller), the other is Alphonso Smith who we just brought back. Jonte Green is making his first start ever. Cutler's got to be licking his chops. This isn't a game where we can't wait till the 4th quarter to start showing signs of life.

I still think we can win this one if the Offense plays a full game. Can't pick a winner, but I only see 10 points at most separating the teams tonight.

Also, I feel that everyone saying the Bears would pull away in the 4th is backwards this season. If they blow us out, expect it to happen way before then.

I am excited for this matchup between Stafford/ Johnson vs. Cutler/ Marshall. The Bears are 8-2 under Coach Smith on Monday Night football games; they'll make it 9-2.

You know one of those "2" came from the 1-0 on MNF Lions...
