I would have gone for it if I was the Patriots. I mean, even if they didnt make it, its more than likely they will get it the next play on a turnover anyway.
Then again, this could be a way to advance field position. pin the Jets in the 5, get the inevitable turnover, and score. Oh Belichick, you clever guy

You're 3rd and 1..have Tebow and you call a shotgun slant? The Pats haven't stopped 3rd and short all game long.
