The two have similar builds and speed.

Averaging 3.2 yards per carry on the 29th ranked NFL Defense isn't that bad. He needs to be on a team with more weapons than him. Now that Michael Bush is gone more will be expected of D-Mac

McFadden is good, but he's not AP. He does not run with anywhere near the same conviction as AP.

That's not a knock on McFadden. AP is just better than almost all backs in the league.

This. Let's not forget when AP first came in the league he dominated, and that was with a very weak Offensive supporting cast and with Tarvaris Jackson, and even Gus Frerrote for a short period at QB.

Nah, McFadden doesn't have the durability A.P does.

3.2 yards per carry isn't good under any circumstances but Mcfadden did average 5.2 yards per carry in 2010 and 5.4 yards per carry last year (2011). The best Adrien did was 4.7 yards per carry, but he's so consistent and gets in the endzone which Darren doesn't do.

If it weren't for Darren's injuries , he would see the end zone much more regularly. It's terribly difficult for a running back to recover from foot injuries. How many carries per game does AP average versus how many darren averages?

(1) - Durability is part of measuring players in the NFL, especially runningbacks.

(2) - Adrian Peterson is a DOMINANT player who by the way, returned from one of the most devastating injuries in football (ACL tear) to reestablish that same dominance.

This just doesn't have legs. Sorry.

So is your argument that he would be better in a different system or if he didn't get injured frequently? You're making it hard to tell.
