People warned them not to sign Crennel as coach. We all know how he is as a HC. Hes a lifer at DC.

Having Matt Cassel and Brady Quinn as your two options at QB wouldn't be helpful for any coach, though.

Was surprised KC didn't make a run at Jason Campbell when he became a FA, seeing as how they like to make a run at former Raiders lately and Campbell is a hell of a lot better an option as a backup than Quinn and arguably better as a starter than Cassel.

Let Orton walk also. They both took fairly cheap contracts to play backup for other teams even if I remember correctly.
