Thanksgiving Day: Houston Texans v. Detroit Lions

12:30pm ET on CBS.

Hopefully Johnathan Joseph plays otherwise Calvin will have a big day. If he's hampered and plays, Calvin might have a big game anyway. This game will be very close. Houston coming off a grueling last two games, short turnaround, travel, etc.

Posted in the off-topic thread that Titus Young won't see the field for attitude problems last week and confrontations with the coaches. More Broyles! Hooray!

Prediction: I will be sad on Thanksgiving again.

Re: Thanksgiving Day: Houston Texans v. Detroit Lions

I thought for most of this season that Houston was the best team in the league.
This game won't even be close. Houston is only a 3 point favorite right now; Vegas has a lot more confidence in the Lions than I do.

Hopefully next season the Lions can follow the Texans example and add two players to their secondary (Texans added Daniel Manning and Jonathan Joseph).

J. Jo is out from what I've read.

Won't matter too much if Jonathan Joseph doesn't play.At this point of the season, all the Texans corners are playing at the same level and have been rotated most of the time. The only thing that worries me is that they play in such a short amount of time and may not have enough left in the tank from that Jacksonville game to play up to their true potential.

Texans 24
Lions 10

Hopefully Stafford to Calvin keeps this game close.

Not that I don't enjoy talking with my family, but it's always nice to have competitive football games on Thanksgiving

True. I think healthy Kareem > than 75% Joseph at this point. He's been getting burnt quite a bit this season. Rest him now, get him as close to 100 as possible for the playoffs.
