Ever notice how many people say "we"

I think this sums up the "we" discussion. I think the OP would've been better focusing the thread (title and all) on the Monday morning QB part of his post, which is annoying.

I honestly use both and don't worry about when or how I use either. How I identify the team isn't important in what I'm trying to say, so it's an afterthought.

I don't think anything of it until it gets used by the bandwagoners that crawl out of the woodwork come playoff time.

Everybody knows "that guy." Doesn't watch a single game all year, then the playoffs start and now it's, "are WE going to win this weekend?"

Like cjones, that's the only time it bothers me.

They can't name more then two people on their own team, but "We had a good game last night, didn't we".

I don't like using "we" and nor do I like it when others use it, unless you have a valid reason to.

Ex. I refer to my High School's Team as We, since I go there. Same for any college you attend.

If you play or work for the team.

If you own stock of the team.


Other than that, I don't use We and I don't like it when others do either. Just because I have a Facebook and spend a lot of time on it, I don't use We when referring to the company.

I attend Green Bay Packer football games, so, we didn't play well or we played good that day.

I purchase NFL products and support our team by purchasing our sports teams jersey's, flags and merchandise.

We is fine, especially on a message board.

Sorry Matrix, sounds like I'm echoing or saying the same as you, but it's true.

And with that, it should be to each we own, er I mean to each their own. lol
