I'm pretty sure Deion did as well.

Deion never made an All-Star game.. he was basically a part-time baseball player as he never played 100 games in a season

Wow, thanks for the info. I just assumed he had because he was a star baseball player. I still wouldn't hold it against him, I know what he could do on the field... and of course, I'd still pick Bo. But both of them played at an all star level in both sports.

I'll give some local love to a guy that was a step down from both but surprisingly gets no mention in the two sport discussion. Brian Jordan wasn't ANYWHERE close to these two guys, but does deserve credit for the work he did both on the diamond and the gridiron.

And let's not forget that for being a part-time baseball player, Sanders led the NL in triples in 1992.

I've got to go with Bo.

Oddly enough I was talking about these same two guys a few weeks back with a friend of mine. He's from New Orleans and has been a Saints fan his whole life. However, his favorite players growing up were Deion and Brian Jordan. As we were discussing that another question came up that I've been meaning to bring ask on OS.... Will we ever see another 2 sport athlete?

We've been close a few times. Chad Jones is currently in the Minors and I think an NFL team's practice squad. And Bradley Marquez is a receiver at Texas Tech who plays for the Mets minor league in the summer.

Jones was recently waived by the Giants, so he's not currently on a roster.

Russell Wilson comes to mind.

I don't think we'll see a true 2 sport athlete because these guys are paid so much money that an organization wouldn't let them take the chance of getting hurt playing another sport.. similar to how they have restrictions on dangerous activities written in contracts.
