Re: AFC Champs

I think the Patriots are the team to beat, but I'd prefer to see some new blood representing the AFC in the Super Bowl. I think the Broncos are the next likely team, followed by the Texans.

Re: AFC Champs

The Ravens and Texans have looked very beatable lately. I'm not sure about the brackets, but the Texans don't seem to have the right defensive gameplan to beat Brady.

The Ravens seem to beaten and broken to win this year.

The Patriots are not their usual juggernaut self, but with Gronk back things might change.

Denver top to bottom is probably the best, and healthiest team this year.

Cincy and the Colts just don't register as teams to beat this year.

Re: AFC Champs

I'm picking the Broncos. But the fact they haven't played the toughest of schedules (Chiefs, Raiders and Norv Turner twice apiece) concerns me a bit.

Patriots played Miami, Jets and Chan Gaily twice a year, so what is your point?

The only tough conference this year was the North.

Regular season schedule is meaningless IMO. Last year the Pats most impressive regular season win came against the Tebow-led 8-8 Broncos and they still ended up winning the AFC.

Denver may not have beaten many playoff teams this year, but they've been impressive all season long, and the games they didn't win were close games against very good opponents.

Re: AFC Champs

I've thought since their Monday Night Curbstomping of the Texans that the Patriots were probably going to be unstoppable in the playoffs. I hope it's the Texans, though.

Wow. Crazy to see respect coming from a Pats fan. Right back at ya.

Im a Bronco fanatic and I completely agree. Im also a football fan and watch a lot of teams play. If there is one team that will surely challenge the Broncos, its the Patriots. And vice versa. I only give Denver the slight edge because they got home field. If the Pats had secured the #1 seed I'd have given it to the pats.

True their opponents have't been the best teams, but Denver has beaten every team they've beat on the win streak with consistency that no other team has had this year.

Here are some stats to chew on:

Broncos were the only team in the league to not allow a single opposing QB throw for 300 yards. Not Tom Brady, not Drew Brees, not Matt Ryan, not Josh Freeman, not Carson Palmer, no one.

Broncos allowed only three backs to eclipse 100 yards rushing - Foster with 105, Charles with 107, and Ridley with 151.

Broncos allowed only one run for over 25 yards all season, and 12 pass plays of over 35 yards.

Like its been said. They beat all the teams they should have beat. And they have dominated.I say all this with no homerism. If they don't win it all this year I'll be surprised. I havent said or thought that since '98.

And for the Chief fan....Dude, don't drink and smoke before you post here. Its really embarrassing!
