The Bears better make a home run hire after this decision. If not, this is completely pointless.

I'm a little shocked that the Bears let Smith go. Bold move, hope it works out for them.

I really hope the Bears bring in Gruden or Whisenhunt (assuming he's fired). The team is moving in an offensive direction and now is the perfect time to hire a coach with that philosophy. Replace the aging defense with guys for a new system.

Of all the coaches fired thus far, Lovie is a surprise. Crennel's resume isn't good is it...... Two HC jobs, two dismissals.....he needs to go back to being a DC.
