I just don't know how anyone can say this isn't a pretty intense rivalry. Viking-Packer games are 10x more intense than any other game on the schedule (from a Viking's standpoint), IMO.

I realize that Vikings-Packers isn't the top rivalry for many Packer fans, and that's fine. But it's definitely a great rivalry. All time record is like 53-50 Packers, so it's not like it isn't competitive...
Yeah, because Pack fans want to start crap, that's the ticket! I just said earlier that I don't hate the Vikings or their fans.

Intense, maybe it is on the the other side of the river, but not down here.lol

It surprises me to hear that. If that's actually the case I was mistaken about the intensity of the rivalry.

Maybe it's because all the Pack fans I know live in Minnesota, so they are more prone to hating the Vikings because they are surrounded by Vikes fans.

It's as intense as you want it to be. I know Viking fans that live around here, and it's all good ribbing and that's about as far as it goes.

I have friends that are Bear and Viking fans, it's all good.

Maybe it's closer to the border, like the Eau Claire area.

I hope you aren't reading my "intensity" comments meaning that I am a d-bag to Packer fans.
One of my favorite things to do at sporting events is to BS with opposing fans.

I will give you guys that it was an intense rivalry when you had Favre.

Other than that, there isn't much about the current Vikings to hate. Peterson? Seems like a good guy. Annoying as **** to play against because he's untackleable, but I respect the hell out of him. Ponder isn't good enough to have feelings about one way or the other, other than my bitterness over him winning the Sam Steele sweepstakes.

Meanwhile down south there's Cutler, there's Marshall, there's all sorts of reasons to hate the Bears.

Never been to Packer/Viking game at Lambeau. Harder than heck to get tickets. You need to know someone or go through other channels.

I was only at the Saints game this year.

And as you mentioned earlier, for me, there was a rivalry with Culpepper/Moss/Randle vs Favre and company.

I understand what you guys are saying. However, would you feel the same way next year if we go into Lambeau on Saturday and win? I'm not saying we're going to but it's just an "if" situation.

Where I'm at, I am friends with a lot of Packer fans. The rivalry did fade a little the last few years, but this last game really intensified things.

Another thing to say is that I love that this game is happening. I would rather be playing the Packers than say, if we were playing the Falcons or 49ers or any other team. I love division rivalries in the playoffs.
