If he gets to 1,000 receptions, 10,000 yards and 50 TD's, I say yes. Reluctantly, but yes.

So he just needs ~300 catches, 1500 yards, and 12 touchdowns?

Wes Welker: catch totals are impressive but never been a true #1 receiver. Though he only figures to rack up more catches and even a sb in Denver. Could he be hof when it's all said and done?
I was thinking of him the other day.

I don't think his career would indicate he is a hall of famer, but he's definitely put up some incredible stats. I could see him as a vet choice quite a few years down the line.

I think there's a few WRs that are going to have chances to be HoFers down the line like you said just cause they were consistently good but never elite in this passing era, Welker is probably a good example and Colston is another possible guy if he keeps being as consistent as he's been for at least another 4-5 years, etc.

I like Welker, but I can't make him a HOF'r until about 5 or 6 other guys get in ahead of him. Welker's a very good player, but no one can deny that having Tom Brady throwing to him had a lot to do with his numbers.

As of right now, I can only think of Welker as a first ballot Hall of Very Good-er (that sounds proper ).

I think both those guys will have to get by the stigma of never being the go to, #1 receiver. Welker bc he's mainly been a slot guy and Colston bc NO has so many weapons on that offense. Colston has never been thought of as an elite receiver from what I've seen, Welker has a better shot bc his numbers are too good to ignore.

Seau played OLB (which is why I hated the instant Te'o comparisons by the media on draft day), but regardless, all four of those guys are HOFers without question, in my mind.

I don't see Wes Welker as a HoF player. I don't feel he dominates games. As far as Colston, in my honest opinion, I am not sure he should even be suggested. There are a lot of good players like Colston who don't sniff HoF consideration. At least, at this point. Who knows where they will stand in 4-5 years.

Just my opinions of course!
