Falcons secondary is always weak against covering TE's.

They need to double Vernon and watch Kap for runs and make the wr's beat them one on one. If crabtree scored two tds again so be it as long you limit the run and and control the tightends.

Offensive-wise stay balanced. Dont try to put the game in ryan hands and have him throw it 40 times otherwise you end up with another 2 half collapse.

I'm going to expand on my first post as I gave basically my thoughts in a nutshell on another board:

Niners, I think the Falcons will have a helluva time against the Read Option attack and even if that fails the Niners have a good enough running game to pound the Falcons to submission.

and there you have it

I think Atlanta will shock the world again. They'll be more confident and relaxed this week. Limit turnovers and don't get big-headed and conservative with leads.
#1 seed shocks the world... But it does fit.

Who besides ATL fans are picking ATL? I still don't trust them. If it's close, I think they can pull it out... But I can't help but wonder how they're going to stop or move the ball against SF.

Why wouldn't they be able to move the ball through the air?

I picked them against SEA. If I had to decide today I would pick them for this game as well... not ready to set that in stone just yet though.

Biggest chokers in the NFL the past two seasons and then back into an NFC ship after blowing a 20 point lead in the second half.

Excuse me if I don't have any confidence in the Falcons.

I can't pick the Falcons. Their management of yesterdays game was atrocious. It's either a close game, and the 9ers manage time better... Or it's a blow out and the 9ers become superbowl favorites.

Don't think it'll be the former in all honesty.

What exactly is the definition of a choker? More specifically, how can a team be classified as the "biggest"?

How does one "back into" a championship game? They got off to a lead big enough to put them in position to win... and they won. Maybe the thought is Seattle just gave them 20 points before deciding to play for real? Personally I see that they lost to other great teams. It's the playoffs... all these teams are extremely talented. There is no "The #1 seed should beat the #4 seed just bc" in the playoffs. San Fran is a fine choice to win this game, but nothing that's happened last year or the year before have anything to do with it. This year, the Falcons have only lost 3 games and play better at home than on the road. There are a bunch of other variables that can be added for or against them, but I don't really understand what you can put substantially behind "biggest chokers".
