Don't rule out that some team will come to him and say we will break the bank at 21 mill a year and sign him and steal him away from Baltimore.

Yea Bmore is his town and he loves the fans. But money talks.

Was listening to a sports radio show an they were talking about scenarios that could possibly happen.

I don't think other teams are quite sold on Joe, at least not at that price.

I have a feeling he will convince those teams after the 2013 season!

(repeat?)

This is easily prevented by franchising him to prevent that while they negotiate the long term deal. Many of the teams that would probably make a run at him (Jets for example) are in worse cap trouble than Baltimore.

Here's the thing.

Suppose Baltimore does let Flacco walk, Ozzie deciding that $20M per is too high a price point. What's your plan at quarterback? Tyrod Taylor? Alex Smith? Matt Flynn? Drafting one at R1P32? And how are any of these options better than Joe Flacco, the Super Bowl MVP who hasn't missed the playoffs any year of his career?

Cap flexibility, sure, but if you find a good QB in the NFL, you have to hold on to him, IMO, regardless the cost.

When Baltimore eventually caves in, every qb in the league will smile and start countdowns for the end of their contracts.

You have to give it to him, have to. I'm just saying I wouldn't be comfortable with it, that's it.

I'm wondering what Rodgers contract is going to look like lol.

I agree with this. Whether he deserves a contract of this magnitude, he is the best QB available. Baltimore will not find another QB through the draft, free agency, or in their own backyard, so Flacco pretty much has complete control over this situation.
