True, but stranger things have happened.

Assuming Josh Freeman is indeed not brought back to TB maybe....

Freeman to the Jets? If the Geno experiment takes a step back?

You know he'll want to start. Arizona?

I think Arizona makes the most sense. Or maybe Oakland?

No idea why there's a thread before the season starts. But to add my two cents, if Freeman doesn't get resigned, I see him in Cincinnati.

Re: 2014 NFL Free Agency Predictions

Panthers DE Greg Hardy is scheduled to be a free agent after this season, as is Panthers #2 WR Brandon Lafell.

Lafell isn't flashy, but solid. He'll likely get re-signed. Hardy, however, had a breakout year last year (double digit sacks) and if he does it again this year, will want a big contract like Charles Johnson (who is making Panthers fans forget all about a guy named Peppers). He might not get re-signed as an extension with Cam is on the horizon.

Cowboys DT Jay Ratliff has to be on the cut list for next season. I think paying him $8M for only 10 games is enough to warrant a release. He's gone at end of season.

Clay extended his contract 5 years back in April. No chance he's a free agent at the end of the year.
