This game wasn't on Gabbert. The OL was terrible, worst in the league bad. I think Gabbert had to be hit 15+ times and it wasn't because he was holding the ball. Then when he got 3 seconds, the WRs dropped the ball or ran the wrong route.

I was afraid the interior OL was going to be a problem this year, looks like I was right.

Play calling was pretty bad. Few if any screens and poor execution of short passes to make the defense back off even a little.

Gabbert got 15 stitches.

A decent game by the Chiefs but let's remember who they were playing. MJD is done unless he goes to another team. The Jags may not win a game this season.

I've spent many many years as a disappointed Chiefs fan , so I'm not going to get too excited over totally dominating a very poor Jags team. If they can beat the cowgirls week 2 then I'll start feeling good about the team.

Cant call a screen when the D was blowing them up when they did. Every screen they had ended with a loss of yard or no gain basically.

Yeah I watched this game with a friend that is a Jags fan and Gabbert actually looked pretty good when he could get the ball out but his receivers were not helping him at all. Plus the Oline blows and MJD looked really bad.

But superstar Blain Gabbert didn't play a bad game.
