Week 4: Chicago Bears (3-0) @ (2-1) Detroit Lions

Bears. Lions. Detroit.

These are always good, for one reason or other. The Bears are off to an interesting start, and while this one could go either way, I have this being their first really convincing win. Stafford shenanigans are sure to abound, Sunday at noon.

I hope Reggie can play. We needed WRs even before Burleson dropped the pepperoni, Calvin can't do it all, so having that receiving back tandem of Bush & Bell would be a big lift.

Pettigrew sucks.

Lions are going to win this game by about 14.

I won't be surprised if the Lions get it fairly easily, but I am expecting Chicago to finally have that complete game. Bears have been up and down in their own right, but they've made plays when they've needed them down the stretch and that's something they weren't doing the past few years. Some encouragement to be found, and some new questions forming as the season goes, too. I envision a battle though, with some controversy (and/or hilarity) sprinkled throughout.

Detroit has a good chance as long as they don't commit a bunch of turnovers and stupid penalties, which is pretty much what I say at the start of every game thread

Re: Week 4: Chicago Bears (3-0) @ (2-1) Detroit Lions

Bears are for real this season. Trestman has a great idea of what's going on, and he has looked like the perfect coach for Jay Cutler so far. With that being said, the 3 teams that the Bears have beaten are a combined 2-7, and the Bengals are the only team that they've played that has a win. That game in week 1 was won by a Bears comeback. Meanwhile, the Lions aren't much more impressive. A home win against Minnesota, a road loss against Arizona and a road win against Washington. Those teams are a combined 1-8.
I think that this will be a low scoring game, with the Lions front line constantly bringing pressure to Cutler and and the Bears D containing Megatron and Bush. Whoever has more takeaways should win this one. I'll go 16-13 Lions in OT.
