Alex Smith was once a 49ers, so I'll be rooting for the Cheifs.

Can we get a tie game though?

Hopefully Denver stomps a mudhole and walks it dry.

I hope the Chiefs murder them defensively. But I see this being a blowout for Denver.

This right here. I think KC's best chance here is coming up with a bunch of turnovers and winning that battle. Forcing a special teams turnover, stripping one of Denver's fumble prone Backs; Ball, Hillman. If they do that they're playing right in their element and should have a chance to win it in the Fourth.

I think Denver would like to go with a more spread look on Offense and really push the tempo, but I don't know if they necessarily will do that as that opens up a banged up Peyton to taking more shots from an aggressive KC front 4; but yeah the mind game aspect is definitely going to be interesting. KC's Defense is one of the best at being disciplined and not giving away their looks, intentions until the last second. While Peyton on the other hand is the most cerebral Quarterback in the game, he rarely gets fooled and almost always exposes what a Defense is trying to do before the snap.

In what football sense does that analogy make any sense whatsoever? And if you don't get to watch the Broncos how are able to make this claim?
At this point, I'm just going to stop arguing. Say what you want, but I know football.

I have this turning into a Packers/Panthers type game from last week

But with a little more scoring 24-21 Chiefs win

Re: Week 11 SNF Showdown: Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) @ Denver Broncos (8-1)

Well I might as well give my official thoughts on this game as i'll be watching it with great interest. A part of me wants to see the Chiefs look good tonight for the simple reason that it'd be nice to see a built on defense and a workmanlike offense can still be effective in the modern NFL.

I think the best chance for the Chiefs is if they can play a strong ball control offense that sees them keeping the ball away from Manning. The defense should get some pressure on Manning and if they get a couple licks in then I think Manning will start to get happy feet. I could easily see this being a game where he throws a couple picks if he's not protected well enough.

My prediction:

Chiefs 24
Broncos 20
