This is by design. A marketing idea by Tex Schram to have the visiting team wear their home jersey allows for the fans to see a different product each week rather than the Cowboys in blue and the opponent in white.

The Cowboys wear white so much, it is awkward to see them in blue when they do have to pull them out. The blue jersey is also a different blue than the one they wear normally, and comes with a different metallic silver pant instead of the sea foam green/gray mix that they wear all the time.


The jerseys they have on right now are a logical uniform. Those white ones that we see all the time are a mess of ideas, marketing, and tradition.
