Week 13: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-8) @ Carolina Panthers (8-3)

Carolina's streak has now hit 7 in a row after a comeback victory in Miami last week. Tampa Bay enters on their own 3 game winning streak.

Carolina didn't play great last week, but Cam and Co. came through when it mattered most. The defense was exposed a bit on the back end by Mike Wallace as he was able to get deep numerous times, but I'm not sure if Tampa has someone that can do that. Vincent Jackson is a big target, but doesn't have the blazing speed that Wallace does. Charles Johnson's status is still up in the air, and if he's out the task becomes tougher for the Carolina defensive backs.

Mike Glennon has looked like the possible franchise QB that Freeman was supposed to be. Glennon actually played pretty well throwing for 275 yards and a TD without a pick the last time these teams met. He'll need to have a similar game and the Bucs defense will need to play better. Darelle Revis held Steve Smith in check well last time, but if he can't play that could cause some issues for the Bucs pass D.

Tampa is playing well, but I think Carolina controls this game and wins by double digits.

Tampa Bay 13
Carolina 28

Carolina is just too hot right now, only way I See them losing this is if Cam just goes into meltdown mode and starts turning the ball over.

And I don't really see anyone on Tampa's roster that can challenge Carolina's secondary vertically like Wallace did. Possibly Underwood, and yeah Jackson is more of a jump ball threat.

Yes. It reminded me of when Pat White dropped the football like that against Pitt in 2007...

Very sound victory for Carolina that sets up a big time showdown next week in New Orleans for the top spot in the NFC South (for the time being).

I haven't been able to watch the last couple of games, so to those that have I have a question. What's going on with the traditional run game? I know the team is still averaging over 120 yards per game thanks to Cam's scrambling, but DeAngelo and Stewart have done hardly anything of late. Any insights?

Everybody's hurt. Williams didn't even play. Stewart and Tolbert were both game time decisions.
