What really pisses me off is that this was Asiata's first game starting and he got 30 carries. I don't care how ahead we were, Peterson needs 30 carries every game.

He got 30 carries because they had a pretty extensive lead for a majority of the game, it doens't necessarily have to do with who the back is.

The direction of the game predicates the number of carries running backs get with every team.

And once again, as I've said many times before, I don't care what the score is, Peterson needs 30 carries or touches.

Thanks for "educating" me on why running backs get limited carries, though.

Yeah, 480 carries a year seems reasonable.

Cmon, man, relax. It wasn't meant as an insult or in whatever way you took it.

I apologize. I haven't read up on every one of your posts on the number of carries Peterson should get.

I just know some games warrant a different number of carries than others. I can assure you Peterson would have gotten the same amount of carries if not more in this game.....

No need to get so defensive, I had no ill intention.....

Whenever the running back wants it, and it's obviously going to be for the betterment of the team, it's absolutely reasonable. Compared to the carries that Peterson actually wants, 30 is more reasonable.

Yeah, forget about the way I was coming off in that post. I've been working on a 30 page paper all day and still haven't gotten it finished so I'm a little frustrated.

How about Jennings. I wonder who he wants to be the QB next year. 11 for 163 and a TD today, easily his best day as a Viking.

I'm sure the talk all week will be "Ugh we should have lost to get a better pick!". But the Vikings won today, and dammit I'm gonna enjoy it!
The current prediction is that Cassel will be on the team next year, along with a highly drafted rookie QB.

Prob be cassel, ponder (Depending on contract) and then our first round pick.

If we only carry 2 than cassel and our pick will be the ones. Ponder will be on another team.
