The years don't matter. The back end of the contract doesn't matter. The guaranteed portion does.

Re: 2014 Transactions Thread

LOL, he's not owning anyone lately.

Jay's O-Line is clearly better and he has weapons. Even though the Bears lost, I think you guys definitely saw a different team last week.

Re: 2014 Transactions Thread

Maybe im behind on the need for Qb's in the NFL but 7 years is along time for this guy. He spent a good portion of last year injured which I think in 2011 he missed 5 games as well effected the team. Im almost certain his injury rate will continue to grow because he's been sacked 133 times in four years. I think the contract was to long. 4-5...maybe but 7 is to long

Re: 2014 Transactions Thread

Won't say I'm happy with the news, but I ain't mad at it either. It boils down to show me a better alternative. I like Josh, but there's a reason he was coaching high school ball before getting the call.

I'm sure we did see a different team last week, however...

Quote:
Both Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers and Cutler landed in the NFC North the same season — 2009. Since then, this has been no contest. As a Bear, Cutler is 1-7 against Green Bay. He has completed 54% of his passes for 1,518 yards, eight touchdowns, 17 interceptions and a 54.8 passer rating. Sacked 29 times, Cutler has been knocked out of an NFC Championship Game and frustrated to the point of shoving his own offensive linemen.
We must have different definitions of the word "owning" then.

I mean it's cool because I'm not going to act like Lovie wasn't owning us when he was in Chicago.
