"..on a team that threw the ball fewer times than anyone else in the NFL."

That's why I can't just go off stats. It's deceiving

Re: Best NFL receiving corps

Why would a team with the best WR corps in the league throw the ball less than anyone else in the league? That doesn't seem like an efficient use of resources.

Would you take Boldin or Crabtree over Demariyus Thomas? Decker was probably fungible and that's why they let him walk (he was replaced by a similar talent in Emmanuel Sanders), but Welker is as sure handed as they come and an elite route runner.

Re: Best NFL receiving corps

I think the easy answer is that they know that Kaepernick isn't an elite quarterback.

On the list posted above, I'd personally only take the 49ers corp over the Cowboys.

If they were last in attempts, then they threw less than teams with much worse QB situations.

I think the Falcons deserve a mention too. Like the Bears, their #1/#2 option alone at least puts them in the discussion.

Eh the problem there is Roddy White is aging very fast, a majority of his production last season was in like 2-3 games if I recall. Julio Jones could end up being the best WR in the NFL, but there is that foot problem that is a concern now.

I'm also incredibly biased on that opinion obviously.

Re: Best NFL receiving corps

I'd give them a mention based on what those 2 have done during their time together. I'd take them over 1 or 2 of the teams mentioned in the poll that's for sure.

Homer answer. Seattle is going to be slightly underrated. Nowhere near the best, but Sidney Rice, Percy Harvin, Jermaine Kearse, Doug Baldwin are all perfectly capable of putting up good numbers this year. Richardson, Norwood, and Bates should be able to come in and help as rookies. Zach Miller and Luke Willson on the inside are also formidable targets.
