The OL excuse is slap in the face to all Jags fans. Go watch the Falcons game where they had their 1st string DL in the game against the Jags 2nd & 3RD STRING OL. Bortles torched them, was 4-6 (should have been 5-6 as a bum TE dropped a perfectly thrown ball). Bortles got sacked 2 times, but he also hung in there and threw the ball perfectly.

Then after the beautiful TD throw, Gus pulls him. This is just my though, but he pulled him because he knew if he stayed in the game any longer, there was no way he could start Henne.

He can get hurt any time, so just play him.

Henne plays with the #1s, has the better OL in preseason games, better WRs, etc. Bortles comes in and puts the ball on the money to some WRs who didn't make the team. He didn't have a problem throwing to all the WRs, Henne looks at 1 WR (Shorts) along with slow Lewis and the check down RB.

I don't know what it will be like by week 3, but if Bortles isn't starting, I'll be booing every time Henne steps on the field in the stadium (along with everyone else).

Eagles win this. Big time.

Atleast if Bortles were starting this might have been an interesting watch, but alas the Jags want to do things the boring way.
