Week 5 SNF: Cincinnati Bengals (3-0) @ New England Patriots (2-2)

There is word going around the Pats have dropped down a rung on the ladder of the AFC pecking order. Coming off a terrible blowout loss in KC, I feel sorry for the Bengals. In the last 10 years or so, there is no way the Pats lose two straight Primetime games. But this year is different. They won't win by much, but they'll find a way too. And by they, I mean Cincy. The Pats really need to figure out something fast. If they lose this, they are 2-3 heading into two straight games inside the AFC East.

Two games in the AFC East might be exactly what they need.

I was about to say.. he makes it sound so daunting lol.

Either way a big game for the Pats. In a weird way I want to pick NE just because of all the talk that's been going on about them being done. This could be one of those vintage Pats games where they come out guns blazing. We'll see.

Bengals are better everywhere outside of QB. All comes down to Andy Dalton. If he lays a dud like he normally does in primetime games the Patriots have a great shot. If he continues to play well, Bengals by 2 touchdowns.

I'll say 24-10 Cincinnati.

Also why is a Jets fan making a Patriots/Bengals thread?

This is usually the kind of game that the Patriots excel whenever they face some bumps on the road but this feels different. I've said it before over the last couple of years or so but the decline of the Patriots reminds me a lot of the slow but steady decline of Landry's Cowboys. It's been masked somewhat though by the Pats playing in the most mediocre division in football. I've got a feeling the Bengals are going to come out and beat the crap out of New England though the score will be a bit misleading.

Should be interesting to see how the fanbase reacts to all this in New England if indeed the roof has caved in on this team.

Starting to wonder how soon before fans begin to turn on Bill for his handling of press conferences. Can't remember him being under fire the way he has the past couple days. Not that all Patriots fans have lived by "In Bill We Trust" throughout his tenure here. The heat has certainly turned up.

His snarky demeanor has been widely tolerated up until now. Of course a win on Sunday will go a long way in silencing the recent wave of second guessing and is it time to take away his GM duties questions.

If anything it's a fun time to be a Patriots fan. All the second guessing from Patriots fans, media types, and fans of other teams. Though, reading fans of other teams try to breakdown what is wrong with your team can make you want to slam your head into a wall repeatedly.
