Week 7: Carolina Panthers (3-2-1) @ Green Bay Packers (4-2)

Offense may need to be on it's A game since we might be down both our starting CBs on Sunday.

Not to mention, we tend to struggle against Athletic QBs like Cam is. Haven't watched Carolina much so I'm not sure if their Defense is as good as it was last year or if it's regressed some.

1:00pm start time as well.

Defense has nose dived since Hardy stopped playing... both the run D and the pass rush have taken hits.

Yeah it's one of the worst in the league. I never would've thought missing 1 player would have such a great impact, but the defense is a shell of what it was last year.

Not to mention they changed their entire secondary.

It blew my mind when all these radio stations took it for granted that Carolina absolutely balled out last year on defense. I know Hardy is a very good player, but he's not the sole reason they've fallen off so far.

All the talking heads talked about leading up to this season was the WR core which has actually been pretty solid.

New secondary which wasn't really an upgrade as Mitchell/Captain did very well last year
Lost Hardy and Star has fallen off a bit
OL has been shaky
Cam is hurt
HB's have been injured all year

Pretty fortunate to be 3-2-1

The secondary wasn't that great last year, it was the pass rush that hid their weaknesses. Carolina doesn't have that pass rush this year. Captain is doing nothing in Minnesota, and I haven't heard much of anything about Mitchell in Pittsburgh.

Hardy drew double teams, which allowed Charles Johnson, Star Lotulelei, and whoever else they played at DT to work one on one. Now Star and Johnson are getting double-teamed throughout the game, and the OL is getting to the 2nd level pretty easily on run plays, which takes Luke and TD out of plays.

The lack of a run game hurts since the D has to be on the field more, but even with the offense humming on Sunday, the Panther D couldn't stop a team playing without their best player. This looks a lot more like the defense in Cam's rookie year.

I'd be surprised if it's that close. I think the Pack wins by multiple TDs. Cam won't be able to run for 100+ again.
