In total honesty the amount of money Cutler makes has nothing to do with the defense getting ripped apart today. Cutler has been a part of the problem this year but this is a top to bottom crapshow this year. Football is the top team sport it makes no sense to blame one guy

AGAIN.....people know this. The difference being, is that there isn't a defensive player making $100 million.

Anyone who has been watching this guy for years, knew he was mentally checked out at the start of this game. When you're constantly going 3-and-out, it puts pressure on the defense.

I CLEARLY haven't said this loss is only on Jay today. Just tired of seeing the same **** from guy who's going NOWHERE anytime soon.

This is really the only point I'll oppose. I won't deny that over the course of game, this is 100% true. We saw as much in the Rex/rookie Orton years where the defense just died at the end of the year because they had carried the load all season long.

But this year's defense is giving up tons of yards and points to start games. Before the offense even has a chance to go 3-and-out, they're oftentimes starting from behind.

Cutler is inconsistent as all hell, but the defense is what's killing the team this season. It's not even all the injuries. They can't get pressure, they can't break up passes, they can't tackle. No matter how much of the payroll is dedicated to it, there is just very little NFL talent on defense.

I cant refute anything you said lol. Its obvious that we're stuck with a qb who doesnt do well with adversity. But thats life with a qb thats not elite. There are literally only 4 maybe 5 qbs in the league that could make this team a contender and maybe 3 or 4 more that could do better than Jay is now. The team is only built to win on one side of the ball. Unless we get Rodgers, Manning, or Brady soon things are gonna stay mediocre. Even Brees is struggling with a crappy defense and most would say hes elite.

I'll leave it with this:

Let's say the defense is outstanding, do you honestly trust Jay to lead this team to 3 straight playoff road wins in route to the Super Bowl??

I rest my case...
