Week 8: Chicago Bears (3-4) @ New England Patriots (5-2)

Quite a few people around here think the Bears will win this one because the minute you think they're down, that's when they pull one out of their ***. I'm not one of those people. The wheels officially come off before the bye week. It also looks like the Patriots have figured things out since their stinker in KC. This one will get ugly early...

Patriots 41

Yeah....I don't have a lot of hope either. This team has lost itself. There is no leader. The spiral has begun.

Is it time, or even possible, to blow up and start over? I think we've seen that this squad is a .500 team at best.

I'll try and give it a few more games, but if they do in fact go to 3-6 in the next few weeks, then that's it. You'll have people calling for Trestman's and Cutler's heads.

I say Bears will win this one. The Bears are probably a playoff team. I see them going 10-6.

Why are the 3-4 texans sure bets to go 4-12 but the 3-4 Bears are headed for 10-6?

The teams are going n different directions. The Bears may not go 10-6, but I'm sure they could go 8-8. I'd hate to admit it, but the Texans appear to want to go after Marcus Mariota as their future franchise QB.

Re: Week 8: Chicago Bears (3-4) @ New England Patriots (5-2)

Injuries continue to pile up for New England. Chandler Jones being the latest victim. This one hurts as he is one of the few guys left on defense opposing teams have to game plan for.

As with every single Patriots game in 2014 I have not the slightest of clues as to what to expect. I can see Forte giving us fits if Chicago feed him the ball. Certainly not the cakewalk people around here are predicting.

A win would be nice to keep pace ahead of Buffalo and Miami. Buffalo gets NYJ and Miami plays Jacksonville. Have to believe one if not both of them win on Sunday. I can see Forte giving us fits if Chicago feed him the ball. Don't want to be tied in the loss column at the halfway point.

Must win game. And I admit this one scares me.
